I don’t usually leave reviews but feel a duty to write one when I get exceptional service. This was the case when I visited Purley Nando’s with my wife for our one year anniversary. The service we received from Bruno was absolutely exceptional. Bruno came to our table while we were eating, asked us how the food was and even though we said we were good he took initiative and let us know the food had been there for a while so he would warm it up. I’ve been going to Nando’s ever since I can remember and I have NEVER had anyone even offer to warm up my food, I didn’t even know this was an option. Bruno then continue to delight us in conversation, wished us a happy anniversary and kept engaging with us until we left the restaurant. It was only right, I took the time to leave a review. I will always come to Nando’s Purley as I am a permanent lover of the exceptional, 5 star, business owner level of service I received from Bruno. Thank you Bruno, you are a star!

At first the service was excellent. It was Approximately a half an hour wait time for the next table and the restaurant was fairly busy. Before we sat down an got comfortable they had a table for us. This is the only reason why I've given it two stars and not one. The two other people who I was with. Ordered pretty much at the same time. Knowingly that we ordered at the same time. We knew that the food may come out at different times. Not the extent that it was. My order, the mains came out first before starters and the drink. Talking about working backwards. It's lucky I order dessert. Then I had to ask staff after I've finished my main to get my starters. One set of starters came out and a drink. Then I had to ask again for the other two starters which I came to the member of staff who was working on the hot plate. She gave me the rest of them that was on the hot plate. It's luckly I've asbestos hands. One of the plates was hot and it was clear to me that it been on the hot plate since my mains was dished out. Anyway, the experience wasn't good.

Staff in here are awful, dont greet you on arrival. Security man does most of the work for them. tell you to wait 30mins even though there are 5 tables available which havent been cleared !!!

First time visiting here. Nice spacious restaurant and not too busy despite being a Friday late afternoon. Placed order on the app… glasses for drinks didn’t arrive so had to ask. Also placed an order for 3 starters sharing plate and they only delivered 2 of the 3 to the table so again had to ask.. Paid for a dip too which they failed to bring over. It’s like they didn’t check the order placed. Service generally was a little slow until it came to clearing our empty plates when about 3/4 different people couldn’t clear our table fast enough 🤷♂️😆. Staff were pleasant but service needs to be a bit better.
