Had a really bad experience in this salon at the hands of stylist Sheeva. After showing a photo and taking time to talk through wanting a shaded root to cover my greys and enable me to naturally grow out my colour while keeping the blonde that i'd spend a lot of money on in this salon to achieve, Sheeva proceeded to dye half of one side of my head and the majority of the other side brown. The manager/owner handled this situation brilliantly thankfully and allowed me to rebook a free appointment to fix this work, but I still have to leave this review due for any women who are sensitive about their hair as this experience caused me a great distress, and was made worse by Sheeva blaming my thin hair and telling me it was my fault for not explaining properly (I explained to the best of my ability, showed photos, and even called the salon prior to booking to make sure that what I was asking for was possible, I'm not sure what else I could have done). It is also important to note that when I sat down for my first appointment, Sheeva told me that "whoever had been doing my hair had been doing a really bad job", not knowing that I had been attending this salon for a year and a half with stylist Tina. I personally never had a problem with Tina's work but it makes me wonder what she had done to my hair for Sheeva to tell me my previous stylist had done a bad job. I hate leaving bad reviews for what I assume is an independent business and would like to again say that I really appreciate the free full head of highlights to rectify this matter, but damage was done and my hair is still affected by this colour months later. If I could give this salon ZERO stars, I would do. The stylist, Tina, was rude and incompetent. I walked in, having never been before, she looked up and ignored me… so I took a seat myself. When she finished with the previous client she continued to ignore until I said “Hi, I’m here for my 11.30 booking”, at which point she said “well aren’t you going to introduce yourself then”. She then argued about me with what I wanted for my hair (just an easy trim), and I had to ask her twice to “please be more gentle” when washing my hair because she was actually hurting me. I also asked her if she could turn the water temperature down as it burnt my head, and Tina hadn’t bothered to ask if it was ok. After the hair wash, I asked if anyone else could cut my hair as I really didn’t like how tough and uncaring she was. She said no, so I asked for the managers number, at which point her attitude went so downhill, she started calling me aggressive (I hadn’t been, although she deserved it, as I was too scared of upsetting her if she was going to have scissors near my hair). She hacked my hair with a hairbrush, without applying conditioner, so I got up and walked out with soaking wet hair, very upset, and walked straight into a salon around the corner. I did speak to the manager, who said he would get back to me. Two days later I haven’t heard anything still. I’ve never walked out a hair salon before. AVOID THIS SALON, avoid Tina.
