I have been a long-term resident at this place. Newington Court is OK. The manager (Michal) is awesome, and does a great job. However, LHA London is very reluctant to get things fixed/replaced at this particular location– not even the things that are essential for daily living. They don’t feel obligated to, and it’s as though you are pleading to have them do the right thing, with constant reminders. Considering rent was increased twice in just one year, this is not right. There is room for improvement!

¡Great place to stay for long and short term! The accomodations are pretty confortables that it doesn't even look like a hostal. The rooms have all the comodities you need and the kitchens are in a very good quality. The location is good, with a beautiful park just crossing the street and a lot supermarkets and stores nearby. There is a bus station right in front of it and the over and underground are quite near aswell. I really have had a greatful time staying here, the staff are quite kind and helpful. Newington Court is a great place to stay. The rooms are comfortable and cozy. People at the reception are really kind and friendly, I always felt at home. There's a beautiful Park across the street called Clissold Park, a bus stop round the corner and is just a few minutes away from Newington Church Street. I would definitely recommend this place.

Privacy issues (walls like paper), very poor insulation (when people open their windows in winter, your room gets all the cold air straight away). Management not interested in helping with issues: they tend to ignore your requests. Affordable, yes. But you have to deal with those problems and more, throughout your stay.
