  I have had both my knees fully replaced in the last 18 months. I cannot fault Mr Pradhan's approach to my whole experience. He explained the procedures honestly and provided me with the information I need to make the best choices for myself. There was a 10 month gap between both replacements and because the first one was so good I asked for Mr Pradhan to perform the second one. With both experiences I felt reassured and completely "looked after" and the operations have been absolutely life changing for me after struggling for a number of years. Although it didn't seem important at the time, I am absolutley delighted that my scars have healed brilliantly and are hardly visable which is a great bonus. Thank you doesn't seem to do you justice Mr Pradhan but a big thank you!

  Having been diagnosed with serious degeneration in my hip by the NHS in October '21, I was lucky enough to be referred to Mr Pradhan and had my hip replacement in March '22 (again on the NHS). From start to finish the experience was fantastic and everyone I came in to contact with (surgeons/consultants, physio, nurses, catering and cleaning) were amazing. The surgery was done while awake but sedated and I believe I recovered quicker because of that. I also had a new form of "sealing" the wound - so no staples or stitches but a "zip". I was up walking again the following morning. Twelve months on my scar is negligible and is completely smooth to the touch. My treatment from beginning to end was first class and people can't believe I had a hip replacement so recently. Mr Pradhan is truly an expert in what he does.

  Prof Pradhan has operated to repair separate accidental injuries to both my knee and hip, with excellent outcomes on both occasions. The recent repair to my knee was nothing short of miraculous - I was walking with crutches and/or a knee brace for nearly 6 months before surgery (I was on an NHS waiting list, but couldn't wait any longer). Following surgery at the Spire Cheshire Hip and Knee Clinic I walked out of hospital, as a day case, unaided and without the need for painkillers. I had recovered full range of motion very swiftly, and have returned to riding and much faster than I had dared to hope! Thank you very much again.

  I recently had a total hip replacement at Spire Cheshire Hospital. From the first telephone call to being discharged all the staff were friendly, made me feel relaxed and were very attentive. My Consultant, Mr Nikhil Pradhan, is the best ! I cannot thank him enough for giving me my life back. I went home two days after the operation and have since made an excellent recovery. To be pain free after four years of increasing pain is amazing and I am so very grateful to Mr Pradhan. Thank you so much to the entire team and all the staff for the excellent treatment and care I received at Spire Cheshire Hospital.

  Third new knee in seven years. Having had two partial knee replacements seven years ago I started to have trouble after five years in my right knee. I could walk without much trouble five or six miles but the pain afterwards was terrible. My doctor told me I was walking too far and to walk less. I endured this for another two years and had to return to the doctors again, a new doctor this time and after explaining my trouble and asking to be referred this was granted. I expected to be told that was all I could expect and to go and put up with it. I WAS WRONG. I chose Spire again as that was where I had the first two knees done, the appointment soon came through and I was seen by Mr Pradhan and sent for X Rays. On viewing the scans Mr Pradhan advised me that a new full knee replacement was required, I was put on the list and expected a long wait. I could see on the X Ray that the initial implant did not look as straight as it had been and was relieved to be on the list. I was shocked to get a call within a few months to attend for the pre-med and then the operation shortly after. As before the service at Spire was first class, my operation for the full knee a success and I. Was back walking and playing golf within a few months. Mr Pradhan advised me that the initial implant had become loose and my replacement had settled in nicely, at my twelve month review I had walked over 1200 measured miles walking over and above normal day to day activity. A very good outcome and a big thankyou to Mr Pradhan and the Nurses and physio's at Spire. This procedure was funded by the NHS the failed knee was funded by myself. John Mulder
