I had bilateral refractive lens exchange surgery at Oculase and cannot recommend them highly enough. It is very daunting to decide on eye surgery, which is why I was careful to choose someone who came highly recommended from previous patients. At all stages Mr Ayoub was diligent and thorough and I felt that I was in very safe hands. I am now glasses-free, which was my objective and very happy with my decision.

I recently had a bilateral refractive lens exchange by Mr Ayoub my initial consultation was carried out early 2022 however I was taken ill and had to cancel the procedure. Mr Ayoub was very understanding and kept in touch throughout and when I was ready he carried out another consultation and examination free of charge. I was also a little concerned with having my lenses replaced but couldn't be happier with the replacement and would highly recommend Mr Ayoub and his team Mr Hewitt

I underwent right eye cataract surgery by Mr Ayoub in August - my left eye has a congenital cataract (which wasn't operated on) which means I really only have one good eye. Mr Ayoub was very reassuring and informative at the consultation, with advice on the correct lens etc (taking my situation into account). The surgery was incredibly quick and efficient on the day and the followup consultation was prompt and reassuring. The results for my sight has been amazing - as soon as on the journey home after the operation to be honest - I could suddenly read number plates again (I wasn't driving!). And I had no discomfort after the operation to speak of - the advice on the drops was comprehensive and I barely needed to use the lubricating ones. Overall I would throughly recommend Mr Ayoub and Oculase - the staff there are very efficient and quick in terms of setting up appointments and dealing with questions. An excellent service.

He is the specialist who did the surgery to remove the pterygium from my left eye. To me, he is a genius. I came from the Caribbean to England specifically to try and remedy my failing eyesight, due to the pterygium growing over my left eye. My son organised for me to see Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon Dr Tariq Ayoub, whom he highly recommended. And what a joyful eye opener it turned out to be. As instructed, a fortnight after the operation, I went back for Dr Ayoub to check on progress and to ensure all was well with my eye. I knew the results before he told me because for the first time in twelve years, my vision was as clear as an eagle’s. All tests completed, he concluded that I had 20/20 vision in my left eye. What a joy! Thank God and Dr Tariq Ayoub. From the start, Dr Tariq’s calm, pointed, yet reassuring manner in outlining the possible outcomes of the operation, negative and positive, inspired real hope within me. He sounded trust worthy. And I trusted him. Being fully awake throughout the operation, yet feeling absolutely no pain, being informed at the different stages and reassured by Tariq, as he went about his delicate and highly technical operation, I thought to myself, ‘This man, must be a genius.’ Operation successfully completed, medication, verbal and written instructions for home care given to me; just before leaving his surgery, I still felt obligated to tell Dr Tariq Ayoub, “Doc, you certainly have gifted hands. I think you are a genius.” He smiled, said: “Thanks … … I am not a genius, I just enjoy doing my best, to help as many people as I can.” I am living proof that consultant ophthalmic surgeon Dr Tariq Ayoub is an excellent eye specialist and I highly recommend him to all.
