I was refused a face to face meeting with this organisation as I was told that appointments are not made in this way. This disadvantaged me because I currently don't have access to video chat and even if I did, I am unable to have this conversation in private as I live in an apartment with poor soundproofing. I am a physics graduate who has worked in education with 10+years of management experience and after reading the website, I felt that they would offer the sort of jobs that I am interested in, particularly as I am ready to start work straightaway. However, I did want to talk to them first about their recruitment process and submit relevant documentation in person. I just want everyone else in a similar situation to be aware of this as it doesn't say on the website that all meeting are remote. I hope this changes as we are only newly moving to remote meetings as a society, not everyone yet has had the opportunity to go through this transition and for some of us, there is still some value in meeting in person that at a conversion over a computer doesn't offer.
