I came here for an event. Parking was difficult. It's a community hall so it's spacious enough for events and there's a stage and sound system. The ladies toilets were out of order and the disabled toilet was not very clean considering the size of the venue.

We had our Nigerian themed event at this Centre on the 19th of Nov. It was a great night and great feedback from the guests. I would say overall a great experience however a few hiccups for improvement for future bookings. The new manager Saima is very kind, informative and very approachable. 😊 As for the positives: - The Centre is very spacious and could fit up to 200 people give or take depending on the number of tables or chairs you require. - Heating in the place was very good, great in fact and efficient especially for events in the autumn/winter period which filled up the hall really good. We were in fact too warm at one point but there is functionality to switch it off. 👌 - There is also a small room for prayer with the direction and extra prayer mats which is very practical. It isn't the biggest but very handy for a few people at a time. - A community event was taking place on the same day as the event however the Centre gave us time to set up prior to our booking (5pm-11pm) and the hall was being cleaned simultaneously with tables and chairs being set up to our preference. Also, we included the cleaning service they provide so as soon as the event finished, we left without worrying on cleaning. 😃 Unfortunately, as for the negatives: - The bathrooms could need be looked after and cleaned a lot better as it wasn't immaculate especially for those that need it for ablution purposes. - At the time leading up to the event, new management was taking over, understandably there was handover of booking however timing of communication could be improved a lot i.e., receiving deposits back on time post-event, queries etc., with existing bookings. 🙁 - We had initially paid extra for the use of the kitchen so that it's more organised and that food could be kept warm however from visiting the place the weekend before the event, there was no microwaves or warmers and not the cleanest either. In the end, we brought our own. If the Centre can invest in this, then it would be practical for future external events. - A DJ was booked for the event however she was unable to connect to the Centre's sound system as it wasn't working, so fortunately she had to use her own speakers which worked in our favour. I believe this is probably being in the works of being fixed now with the new management in place. Overall, I would book this place again definitely, if the improvements can be taken on board it would be perfect! 🎉
