Can’t fault most of the food, tacos, fries and ribs were lovely and the speed at which it came out was great. The issues were that the staff were weird and abrasive, the prices were essentially London prices. £5 for 330ml of coke. At the end of our meal I asked for the pinto beans to be taken off the bill as they were bland. I then started to ask a staff member why they charged £5 for a can of coke at which point a manager came over to our table and questioned us on why we wanted the pinto beans taken off and when I asked her why the coke was £5 she said it was because they were glass bottles and was pretty defensive with me. Even had the cheek to add on 10% service charge when the server came to our table twice. At £18 for 3 tacos with zero sides coming with the meal you’d think they make enough money to not be doing a service charge but who knows, clearly just money hungry owners.

The perfect spot in Kendal. We moved back to the area in march and we've been looking for a new place to eat and now we would definitely think again about going elsewhere. This place is fantastic As a big BBQ fan, coming here was absolutely perfect for me. We started with the Sausage Dippers (Texan Hot Links and mustard BBQ sauce) Brisket for me and chicken tacos for my wife. The Brisket was soft and juicy, with a perfect smoke ring. The chicken tacos were absolutely amazing, 3 large tacos with a zingy topping. We can't wait to try the other tacos when we inevitably return. I've never been a margarita fan, but these margaritas might have just changed my mind. The bill came to just under £100, good value for money,, speedy service, a great setting filled with history and friendly staff. We will definitely be back.

Ordered 2 appetisers the smoked Sausage bites and the buffalo wings. Wings should have come with a sauce but the waitress dropped it and didn't replace it (must have thought we didn't notice.) Also had absolutely 0 spice when Pappys claim on the menu 'its spice challenge level heat' Sausage bites were lukewarm but tasted OK. The Queso Birria Tacos weren't great and had a weird taste and again were lukewarm. My partner ordered the Tipsy Texan Burger which came with brisket that dry and hard you could smash a window with it. All the staff were lovely and I cannot fault them but the food needs some work. We didn't say anything at the time as we didn't want to cause a fuss but I can honestly say we wouldn't revisit and I couldn't recommend this place to anyone.

We had a fantastic anniversary meal at Pappy's Texas BBQ and I would recommend it to anyone we had the sharing platter with additional brisket (which was the best part of the meal) it easily fed both of us with room to spare. The only thing I'd add would be extra wraps but we asked and they provided them. The Mac and cheese, pulled pork, brisket and sausage were top notch you won't go wrong ! Absolute hidden gem and we will be back just for the brisket !

Went on Sunday 27th March. Service was superb even though there was one plate that wasn't as hot as we would have wanted but the issue was resolved with no fuss. Food was excellent and we would definitely go back again. Take the time to go and visit for yourselves.
