Saw Mr Rosenfeld a few times for a nagging foot injury (broken third metatarsal & Midfoot injury) after seeing another surgeon who misdiagnosed the extent of the break. Mr Rosenfeld was a true professional — very thorough, friendly and forensic in his approach. With good advice and medical care, I am now up and running again. If you have a foot injury you should see Mr Rosenfeld.

Peter Rosenfeld is a fantastic doctor! I came across him at St. Mary's Hospital NHS foot clinic after breaking my 5th Metatarsal Bone. Initially, the first doctor I saw wanted to do immediate surgery. While I hadn't seen Mr. Rosenfeld, I heard that he stopped this at the clinical meeting as the risks involved were too great -- it was the right decision. I continued to go to the clinic for months seeing many doctors, some of which were sub par and some with extreme egos. We got to a point where the doctors didn't know what to do with my foot so I was sent to him. He came with a trainee. He quickly knew what to do and guided the trainee to prod and poke to further assess for his learning. I continued to see Mr. Rosenfeld privately to get my foot back in order. That was in 2012. Today, I have returned to him for another injury. After 5 minutes, he was 99% sure what the problem was but to be 100% sure, he ordered an MRI. I needed to move quickly due to planned travel so he moved quickly galvanizing a team of professionals to do the MRI, Ultrasound and ultimately injection to deal with a bursa within 24 hrs. I highly recommend Mr. Rosenfeld -- he's patient, kind and thorough. I would trust him with my family.

I was knocked off my bicycle in a road traffic accident and was taken by ambulance to my local hospital. A CT scan and x-rays showed that I had shattered by calcaneus (heel) bone and I was scheduled to have the fracture plated the following week. Extensive internet research informed me sufficiently to realise the prognosis of using this technique on the degree of injury I has sustained was not great. I came across Peter through researching trauma surgeons in the four London trauma hospitals. Five minutes into my first consultation with him it became clear I had struck gold! He was one of very few surgeons in the world who could perform the operation I needed (subtalar fusion and reconstruction) anthroscopically (key hole) and he had written papers and lectured on the technique. I had the two and a half hour operation within four days. The outcome has been beyond anything I could have hoped for. After just over 12 weeks I have recovered nearly all the movement I had lost in my foot, I can walk with a near perfect gait for twenty-five minutes without rest and the whole recovery process, from coming round from the anaesthetic to now, was almost completely pain free. I cannot recommend Peter highly enough as, beyond his exceptional surgical reputation, he is a really lovely person.
