Currently staying here with my family, lovely quiet hotel. Great friendly staff/owners. Very welcoming. Has a garden for the kids and toys also. Apartment is a good size, kitchen comes well equipped. My stuff was taken from my room. And when I went to the reception for help I wasn’t taken seriously. Literally all the stuff that was in my room, including underwear.. The reception lady got defensive when I went to her, saying I am the only one this happened to and expressing she was doubting what I said was true. I felt so hurt and was sad that there was no understanding for my situation. My house keys, my clothing, a gold bracelet, even my toothbrush..all gone..the fact that this happened I found horrible, but to then seek out help and empathy and being met with defensive, cold behaviour, was really saddening to me. one of the staff even said my stuff wasn’t stolen and I just lost it. As if I lost all the stuff that was in my room, whilst not even having taken it with me. I would never come back here and am so sad my vacation went this way. I do have to mention most people working at the pink palace are lovely. But the few that are not have really spoiled this experience for me. What can I say, I am not even angry, just so sad about the way my situation has been handled. And the thing is no one could have entered my room except for some of the staff. I would never want to blame someone without being sure, but I don’t even know what to think anymore. This was by far the most horrible experience I had staying in a hostel.
