Really bad food, dirty bar area with glass’s stacked up, rude staff. It has gone down hill a lot lately. The Talisman in park gate is 100% better for service and cleanliness. Hall and woodhouse you need to look at this pub 😕

We went late afternoon, place was clean and tidy. Food was amazing but service wasn't great. The girl behind the bar was clearly being forced to be there. No was her favourite word. But they do have a dog ice cream machine.

The worst experience I ever had with the staff being extremely rude and mean to our group. We made reservations in advance but he didn’t offer us enough seats, we even had to moved the chairs on our own. We had only 1 menu for the group of 10 so I asked for one more politely, the staff tried to refuse until I insisted and this is what he passed me with his almost-discriminatory attitude. Turned out we left to avoid further embarrassment. I feel bad for the quality of service and highly recommend people to think twice before they visit this restaurant.

Awful service. We booked a table for 8 on Sunday evening. It was not a busy evening. The waiter was not very welcoming when we came in. There was only 1 menu on the table. Then we asked that gentleman if we could have some more menus. He told us there is only one menu for a table for 8 people. A few minute later he reluctantly brought us one more menu and told us half of the menu was not available. It was only 6:15pm. We were ready to order after sharing 2 menus with 8 persons. That helpful gentleman was not around. We finally decided to leave after waiting for 15mins. We met that staff of the day on the way out. He couldn’t care less.

Not only is the scenery beautiful, but the staff is friendly and attentive, making everyone feel right at home. And if you have a furry friend with you, you're in luck - dogs are more than welcome here and are treated like VIPs, with treats on tap! Overall, The Plough is a fantastic place for a meal, a pint, or just a relaxing afternoon outside. I highly recommend stopping by and experiencing it for yourself.
