  In November 2022 I had a SMAS facelift & neck lift using a deep plane approach. After having the surgery, I wanted to wait a while before I wrote a review as I wanted a true reflection of my final result. From my first visit to the surgeon, Dr Rajiv Grover, I felt he wanted me to have realistic expectations of what was possible. I didn't feel any pressure to proceed with surgery. Both ladies who work alongside Dr Grover, Katarina and Jackie were lovely and very supportive. In the months that I pondered if I should go ahead with the surgery, although they were both there to answer any questions, there was never a phone call pushing for a decision and I never felt pressurised. After my surgery they frequently call to see I am doing ok. On the day of the operation, I felt that there was a clear smooth-running plan. I wasn't waiting around getting stressed. All the hospital staff were excellent. After the surgery one lady in particular who brought me my food had excellent knowledge of diet and ways to help with well-being which now positively affects my life. I feel very lucky that I was drawn to Dr Grover to perform my surgery. I didn't feel like his client I felt like someone he wanted to help and keep safe and happy. The surgery doesn't make a 65-year-old lady look 30, but it has made me feel rejuvenated. With the new look and fresh mindset, I feel like it's the start of a new chapter of my life. The old me had deep set jowls which I didn't like. My neck wasn't too bad for someone of my age, but now it looks very youthful. I have even seen improvements that I didn't expect. I had considered surgery to get rid of bags under my eyes but Dr Grover talked me out of this. I am so glad he did, as after my deep plane facelift I also saw improvement under my eyes. Strangely my earlobes even seem to hang better. I frequently wear my hair up or in a pony tail as the scars are so well hidden. My husband said that I now look like Audrey Hepburn😁. I look in the mirror and I like what I see. I didn't mind the old me, but I like this new me even more. People look at me as though something is different, but they don't know exactly what it is. If they do say anything it's that they think I'm looking well. Recovering from any operation takes time, so don't rush it. Go with the process and listen to Dr Grover. It has now been four months since my operation, I only ever had minimal swelling and that was for a very short time. Everything looked good from very early on. Complete healing does take time. The skin on my face does not feel completely back to normal yet. I wish that I naturally slept on my back as I believe that would definitely speed recovery, but unfortunately, I am more comfortable sleeping on my side. If I ever considered more surgery, I want Dr Grover as my surgeon. He is a very conscientious surgeon and a good man.

  I am just over 2 weeks since my deep plane facelift with Mr Grover I can’t believe how good the results are. I also had a neck lift and upper eye lift. The recovery is quite amazing I had no bruising,no pain,some swelling. Mr Grover is absolutely amazing from the very first meeting I knew he was the surgeon I wanted. He is professional, artistic, completely honest about what he is able to do. If you are lucky enough to become one of Mr Grover’s patients I would say ‘don’t hesitate’. He is the loveliest, kindest, honest man and an incredible surgeon. His full support network, staff at the office to the staff at the hospital are beyond 5 star.

  I cannot adequately express in words the gratitude I feel towards Mr. Grover nor recommend him and his dedicated team highly enough. I recently had a deep plane facelift and upper blepharoplasty carried out by Mr. Grover and his caring and dedicated team and everything went exactly as he predicted. Having never had any sort of cosmetic surgery before, I was naturally very apprehensive but by the end of the first consultation most of my fears were laid to rest and I knew that I was in the safest of expert hands.   Mr Grover in my opinion is one of the best surgeons in the world today. He has now carried out two cosmetic procedures for me and they were both life changing. He is a true artist and master of his craft, his deep plane facelift is so natural yet made me look 20 years younger, without looking “done” He was able to retain the features i liked but subtly got rid of the ones i disliked, pain free and with minimal swelling. Not only is he an incredible surgeon he is a gentleman and has a great sense of humour and wonderful calming bedside manner. He also has an outstanding admin and nursing team working along side him, who were so kind and helpful and made the whole procedure stress free. My results are beautiful.

Two weeks later after experiencing no pain and virtually no bruising or swelling , my face and neck look so much younger, fresher and smoother. Rajiv Grover is an extremely skilled surgeon, and is indeed an artist as perfectly described in the Tatler magazine. His staff at Harley Street are lovely too..   Bye bye drooping mouth face and jowls not to mention my ageing neck . Mr Grover really listened and wanted lots of photos taken 10 /15 years ago He is Meticulous kind and caring and a genius!   Very very pleased with my deep plane facelift. No bruising and pain free. A little stiff in the neck at first but that’s a better with in a couple of weeks. The results are excellent and I am very pleased I got the look I wanted. Mr Grover is a perfectionist and an artist at the top of his game. The after care is excellent and always someone to talk to if you have concerns. Jackie and Katrina are so supportive.   In 2019 I was nearing the end of a visit to the UK, and while I was feeling great, I was looking old and tired. I made a decision: find out about facelifts and get one! I did as much research as I could, all on the internet. One person stood out above all others - Mr Grover. I confided in a doctor friend and asked him to have a look at the website and give me his opinion on Mr Grover’s qualifications and positions held, etc. All was well, extremely well, in that regard. I liked Mr Grover’s website - it wasn’t ‘flashy’ - the before and after photos were of people like me - seemingly, ordinary older women who had decided that they would like a bit of a ‘freshen-up’ facially. Mr Grover’s website was not about ‘selling his wares’ it was informative and made fascinating reading. His whole approach to his profession is evident throughout, and the pages on “Art and Surgery” were especially enlightening. No ridiculous claims were made on the website and no gory photos (more about that later). I decided to take the plunge and go and see this man. The first members of Mr Grover’s staff that I met were Katarina and then Jackie. It’s scary doing this - but those two women put me at my ease straightaway. Then I met Mr Grover, and the pleasure was all mine. What a kind, gentle man. We agreed that I was a suitable case for treatment (as if there were any doubt), but Mr Grover suggested that it might be a lot easier for me to have this done in my own home country - I could do that easily - but I had found my man and he was in Harley St. So we arranged that I would have a Deep Plane Face Lift and Neck Lift in April 2020 on my next trip to the UK. Well, we all know what happened next…….. Eventually, travel restrictions were lifted, and I am now approaching 70. I emailed Jackie and Katarina to tell them that this is ‘back on’. I gave them my flight dates and they took it from there. Mid-May was decided upon, with a prior meeting with Mr Grover on 6th May. Surprisingly, Mr Grover wasn’t too perturbed at the deterioration of my face in the intervening Covid years. Covid reared its ugly head again, and bit me! My surgery had to be postponed until a couple of weeks’ ago. All done now and what can I say? I look years younger - but I don’t look as if I have had a facelift. I shan’t put any photos on the internet - but earlier I said that there were no gory photos on Mr Grover’s website, well that may just be because there aren’t any to display. I had NO bruising, I had discomfort but NO pain. I spent two nights in the London Clinic which was excellent. A week after surgery I had an appointment with Mr Grover where he checked progress and reiterated post-op care advice. I am now still following instructions, to take it very easy. All after-care instructions are provided and after a month I shall return to pretty much normal life! Throughout this whole time I have been in constant communication with Jackie and Katarina, and they are in regular contact to see how I am. I am thrilled beyond reason - people’s initial reactions on video calls are - ‘Ooh, you’ve lost weight’, ‘You’re looking great’ - and best of all from someone who has seen me in the flesh “You don’t look a day over fabulous!” - All true, by the way! It’s been 15 days since my op and I have a little bit of numbness near my ears and just below my jawline - yes, I have my jawline back. My stitches came out yesterday and already, when I tie my hair back no scars are visible - except for a small one, tucked under the chin. Are you thinking about a facelift - well, only you can make that decision but if you decide to, then I cannot recommend Mr Grover, and Jackie and Katarina highly enough! Also, if Mr Grover thinks you don’t need anything just yet then he won’t do it, just yet. I’ve never been much of one for heroes, but I’ve got one now!
