FAQ
What is your mission statement and how do you aim to achieve it?
Our mission at Reengage is to fight social isolation and loneliness among older people in the UK. We achieve this by organizing regular social events and activities for older people to attend and meet new friends. We also provide regular phone calls and visits to those who are unable to leave their homes. What specific programs or initiatives do you offer for the community?
We offer a range of programs and initiatives for the community, including our monthly tea parties, which bring older people together for a cup of tea and a chat. We also have a befriending service, where volunteers make regular phone calls or visits to older people who may be feeling lonely or isolated. In addition, we organize day trips and outings for older people to enjoy new experiences and meet new people. How do you allocate your funding and what percentage goes towards program expenses?
At Reengage, we are committed to ensuring that the majority of our funding goes directly towards program expenses, such as organizing social events and providing support to older people. We allocate our funding based on the needs of our programs and initiatives, and we strive to keep our administrative expenses to a minimum. Currently, 85% of our funding goes towards program expenses. Can you provide examples of past successes and the impact your organization has made?
Over the years, we have made a significant impact in the lives of many older people in the UK. We have brought people together who would otherwise have been isolated and lonely, and we have helped to create new friendships and support networks. We have also provided a lifeline for those who are unable to leave their homes, through our befriending service and regular phone calls. Some of our past successes include organizing a record-breaking tea party with over 1,000 guests, and receiving recognition from the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service. How do you measure the effectiveness and impact of your programs on the community?
We regularly measure the effectiveness and impact of our programs through feedback from our volunteers and attendees. We also conduct surveys and collect data on the number of people we have helped and the extent to which they have benefited from our programs. We use this information to continually improve our programs and ensure that we are meeting the needs of the community.Reviews

I love my role as a volunteer co-ordinator here. I get to support the volunteers and the older people and it makes me happy every week to support outside of my day-to-day job

I have tried several times this morning to contact this organisation and all I get is music to soothe me, but in listening to it at 20 minutes each time, it begins to infuriate me. Why put that this organisation is open from 9 a.m. when clearly it is not.
