The worst service I have ever experienced from any tradesperson. A rip off merchant in my opinion Very expensive and was expecting service to match however this is absolutely not the case. Quality of the job was terrible. It was subcontracted to someone very poor at the work and without the neccesary tools to complete it. (Work was undertaken while standing on my wheelie bin rather than using a ladder) This review is a placeholder for now. I will expand further with fuller details of what has occurred, screenshots of conversations and photos of the work undertaken.

We honestly couldn’t recommend this outfit enough! My partner contacted RJW fencing for a quote for privacy screens for two patio areas and fencing for the length of our longer garden, and within days we received a visit from Connor… what a lovely lad! He was knowledgable, trustworthy and gave us honest advice; offering us a few options, and seeing as though I have a deep mistrust of ‘tradesmen’ (having been ripped off in the past!) I was so happy that we didn’t have to do the ‘sucking through the teeth/shaking of the head’ dance!! Within 24 hours we received an extremely competitive quote, and were advised to call up to their premises to view the various fencing panels etc just to make sure we were happy with our choices! A couple of weeks down the line and the job was completed yesterday; Chris and Rob were fantastic and carried out the work to an extremely high standard, discussing everything with us and accommodating every request. They completed the job in less than two days, taking down and removing our old fence too! Richard (the gaffa!) and his partner Emma were really friendly and made us feel like valued customers… both my partner and I have said that the whole process from start to finish was so positive! I wouldn’t hesitate to use RJW fencing again and as I said earlier, will be recommending them to friends and family… thanks guys for looking after us so well!! P.S I would have added photo’s but it appears I don’t have the skills… sorry!! Service: Wood fence installation

Definitely would recommend RJW Fencing and Decking. They removed and replaced an existing decking. I had got lots of other quotes but Richard gave us the most detailed one which gave us peace of mind. I was working from home a lot that week and could see that they worked hard on the job in often miserable weather. Nick was meticulous in his attention to detail and clearly very skilled at his craft. You could tell they took a real and justified pride in their work. They were also friendly with good communication. We are delighted with our new deck and can't wait to enjoy it when the good weather comes. Thanks.

They have built us new decking and taken out an old rotten one. Good service. The two chaps were punctual, professional, polite, clean and tidy. There was a lot of splintered wood that I had to sand down, took a good few hours. I have changed my initial view of the company. I wanted another job doing, someone was getting back to me, chased, chased again and again over 3 months. Nothing... i tried again 13 months later and a guy came out to price up. That was 5 weeks ago, since then nothing... no price, no communication at all. If they didn't want the job thats absolutely fine. Just let me know and I'll find someone that does. Paula EDIT.... I find it very telling that a company gets in touch 10 mins after leaving a Google review. Its a shame they couldn't get in touch prior to this. I also have the FB messages I chased on the 9th Feb 2022, 26th March 2022 and the 7th April 2022. I then messaged on the 13th Feb 2023. I will post the message Richard the owner of the company sent me basically telling me I was a liar - what would I have to gain by telling lies? Hi Paula. I’ve spoken to Connor who came to look at the job while I was away. He informed me that he said to you with it being a small job and the distance away we would have to fit it in along side another job when in your area, which you agreed was ok as there was no rush, we haven’t been in your area since then and Connor did say he would let you know when we would be and what the price would be at the time I find it highly unfair that you have left a bad review after the service you received from us for the decking. We didn’t want to charge you a standard half day £300 plus the boards £110 as that would seem very high for what was required hence why we said we would call you when we were in the area. Can I ask you to remove that review is it’s unjust unfair and not a true representation of our company and can be very damaging to future business for our company. You could have called the office and requested the quote earlier if required and it would have been sorted. Richard 14:40 You sent I'm sorry Richard but thats just not true. He said he would be in touch in a couple of days to give me a price. As if I would get a price when they turned up to do the work? I mean, who would? Thats just daft... It's also not true that I said no rush, I actually said I really wanted to get it done now as I'd been waiting over a year. And what about the other three times I chased last year? Why would I call the office after it was on here that all the communication was? Quite telling that you only get in touch after I leave a review.
