An excellent night, excellent food, and good drinks. Staff were super friendly and took care of us throughout. We hired out a room in the back and enjoyed a lovely night. I only give 2 stars as 1 of the managers (who I presume who most others are speaking about in the lower star reviews) had a absolutely horrible attitude to everyone throughout the night. I thought she was having an off night but after seeing the reviews this seems to be very consistent. I hope the higher management of this previously 5-star pub make a change otherwise you will see this place go downhill massively. We had many people in our group and many people we interacted with say the same thing.

Visited yesterday and it was an incredibly disappointing experience. At one point, I accidentally sat at a reserved table, although there was a sign it wasn't clear. Nevertheless, I was at fault even though the pub was practically empty and the person who had reserved it could have sat anywhere. But instead of approaching me politely, the person in charge was rude, passive-aggressive and patronising when asking me to move. The approach took me by surprise, was uncalled for and left a sour taste in my mouth. I was met with another unpleasant surprise after relocating to another table. The table I sat at was dirty and sticky with crumbs and salt. I politely requested if it could be wiped. Instead of addressing the matter professionally, the same person came over and sprayed the cleaning solution over me, intentionally making me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. She proceeded to wipe the table in a hasty manner, wiping the dirt over me and then walked off, saying nothing. This behaviour was not only unprofessional but just appalling. This staff member's lack of customer service and the unnecessary burst of rude and passive-aggressive behaviour was shocking. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy, regardless of any misunderstandings or minor inconveniences. Seeing another complaint about rude staff below there is clearly an issue. Please do better!
