I went to Tamsin's pregnancy yoga classes based on the recommendations of a friend and I really enjoyed them. She's very friendly and puts everyone at ease straightaway, the classes themselves were great. I found the stretches we did helped when I was feeling achey and tired, and the breathing helped me to relax. Sharing experiences with the other ladies also helped to normalise what we were all going through. Tamsin was also really cautious re covid and I felt incredibly safe in her classes. When my baby was in breach she also took the time to individually talk me through so stretches to try and stimulate her to move. I'd definitely recommend attending if you're looking for a class.

I have attended Tamsin’s pregnancy yoga classes for both my pregnancies wanting to keep up my fitness during pregnancy and help prepare for birth. The classes were great, not just for the yoga which was really good (you could take it at your own pace and she is very mindful about physical issues in pregnancy) but also as a means of social support with tea and chocolate after every session it’s a great way to meet other new mothers to be. You don’t need to be experienced at yoga for the classes but it is still challenging enough to feel like you have done some exercise. Tamsin is also brilliant for teaching yoga breathing which has been invaluable for getting through both of my births neither of which I had any pain relief except for the breathing. There is no way that this would have been possible without these sessions. I also feel like the sessions helped me with confidence in approaching birth. I highly recommend Tamsin and if (!) I were to have another child I would definitely take the classes with her again!

Highly recommend this class; I moved to York at 5 months pregnant and was a bit nervous about going to yoga after not doing it for many years. The class was so welcoming, not only providing physical support - strengthening my changing body and preparing me for birth - but also providing social support with tea and chat after each class. I used the stretches and breathing in between classes and during labour and continue to be in touch with the women I met in the class. Tamsin is so experienced and reassuring and I left every class feeling relaxed and smiling. Whether you have done yoga before or not, you’ll be welcomed and will find the class accessible and useful. I am so glad I went, the best things were that it helped me recover from my birth and gave me a lovely supportive friendship group of other Mummies, that I meet up with regularly.

I'd practiced yoga a few years prior to getting pregnant but was looking for a class specific for pregnancy and techniques for helping with labour. I also wanted to meet new mums to be. I felt nervous at the beginning as was worried everyone would have their friend groups in class and thought I might end up sat alone! I was very wrong, as during the tea and chocolate after class everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I felt welcomed immediately. The classes helped immensely with my labour. In particular the upright postures and breathing techniques, which I used throughout labour and in the build up to keep me calm. One of the other things I've loved is the friends I've made and stayed in contact with since the birth of my daughter. We meet up regularly and it has helped so much knowing I'm not alone and there is always someone to chat to going through similar things. I've learned so much from them too! Thank you Tamsin for this great class.
