Lovely ( but huge) site! So long as you’re well away from main road! Check in at 1pm is like a military operation ( in a good way) Pub next door doesn’t allow dogs inside so could have been told that before heading over! Great location for north bay which is a 15 coastal walk away or various buses taking you into Scarborough! NO Recycling facilities which was VERY disappointing

Busy site, facilities in need or modernisation, youths from the local area can gain easy access and we’re using the children’s playground late in the evening and riding bikes etc. avoid a pitch near the playground or the busy road. Very convenient for local areas and staff are lovely and helpful.

On arrival we were taken to a pitch, that had only just reopened due to "very wet" ground & given a choice of three in that area. Assured by the member of staff that we would be helped if the expected rain affected our stay. After an evening & night of heavy rain we, of course experienced, a flooded awning floor. The staff that day seemed particularly obstructive, offering no physical help. We had to insist that we be given equipment (mop, squeegee & bucket) to do the job ourselves! At no point was any "help" offered. After many years as members & many sites stayed on at CCC level this was by far the worst site we have ever experienced. Freezing cold, draughty shower block facilities, tired, rundown site, plus a huge number of staff on site unwilling to help, as promised when we first arrived. Also as a point of note, we have a dog & the "gate to happiness" on the campsite leading next door to the pub next door, is a pub which does not take dogs! My husband was informed by a member of the staff, that Scarborough is a "flagship site", might I suggest that this level be re-assessed by the club. All in all a thoroughly disappointing experience to end our two week tour North.
