This place used to be a lovely little down to earth place. It is now very overpriced for the food it serves which is mediocre at best. To make matters worse, the management needs a course on good customer service. I discovered a little hair on my egg as i was eating, the lovely waitress tried to get it discounted but got told by the management that they do not do discount as it is probably the customer since everyone in the kitchen has blonde hair. Baring in mind i have very long hair and the hair on my food was the size of an arm hair or worse. I wasn’t offered a replacement egg either (which costs next to nothing). Still I wouldn’t have minded if the manager had at least offered an apology or gave a polite response like any decent manager at any decent cafe or restaurant but they were clearly not humble enough to put the customers first unless they are ‘regulars’. The rest of the staff are lovely though. The tables were way too crowded which made the meal even less enjoyable. Safe to say i would not return to this place again as plenty of other nice places around with better customer service.

Food is lovely but takes about 30-40 mins to arrive. Every time I’ve been there- 4 times now maybe, the food has been delectable but the servers look unhappy and annoyed to be there. I enjoy the food that’s why we go back but the service and time the food takes to come is sometimes not worth it.

First time here since it changed its name and decor. I miss the bright modern ambience of the Deli, which has been replaced by a gentleman's club vibe, all Edwardian photos and dusty books. We went mid-afternoon for a drink and a snack. They don't serve toasted teacakes now, but we could have toast. So we had a coffee, a croissant, a pot of tea and the toast. Total cost £14, but with the compulsory, and unannounced service charge, it was £15.40. This is very difficult to justify, I'd suggest, and I don't think we will visit again. Service was good, and quick.
