After a fun weekend in Central London, Shiok was the perfect way to end it. I would go as far to say it was one of the top highlights of the weekend. Walking in you see nothing but the most well made pâtisserie, sandwiches and salads. A blend of French and Singaporean pâtisserie that fuses together to make some of the best and well served pastries you can find in London. Selecting what you want takes time because there’s so many options and you’re tempted to get more than you actually need. The staff are welcoming and very helpful when describing each pastry or item of food. They really guide you with your selection and doesn’t disappoint. The pastry’s were cleverly thought out. Not too sweet and not overwhelming to eat. They were well balanced and just filling enough to be highly satisfied when you’re done eating. The crafting of each pastry and sandwich is of the highest level and with reasonable prices you’re really in for an unforgettable treat. There’s so much to try and to drink, I see myself coming back again for more. It’s worth the trip and experience alone is up there with the very best.

wanted to try everything but sadly i am only one person. the desserts i did try were delicious. a beautiful balance of flavours which were not too sweet. the apple tin was my favourite of the things i tried, the chocolate is super thin, as are the apples, and you do not feel sickly eating the whole thing. whilst the yuzu cake was also yummy, i found the thickness of the outermost layer made it. a bit difficult and crumbly to eat. i would like to return to try the other desserts

Red lantern: the jasmine infusion got right touch. Service: not so great consider the price they charged. I understand the design of the pastry is special/exclusive but I don't feel overall experience justify £15 a cake.

The cakes selection is nice and the savoury choices look good also.but the packaging is not the best.the bag is too big and wobly and the cakes packed in boxes flipped over into the bag and all the cream from the top of the cake ended up on the cake box.a bit dissapointing.the staff was nice and welcoming.
