Without doubt the worst service I have ever encountered. Used them since 2014 and the first few years were great but in last 3 years there is no communication and no idea if the service will arrive, and you are not even told they are coming. We have moved address (they definitely can't cope with that) and tried to cancel our contract but was met with threats and sarcasm from the "account manager". I'm seeing a solicitor to finalise it as they have fallen so far short of their own contract obligations I think I am owed money back let alone continue to be tied into paying for their unprofessional "service" as they call it. Avoid at all costs, there are much better providers out there

We have been using Shred-It on our multiple sites for some time, and I'm counting down the days until our contract expires. On-site service - they used to send me the same collection guy every month who was great, now, every single visit it's a new person who has never been before and has no idea how to get around our building. To be fair, the collection staff are all OK in the main, but behind the scenes, Shred-It's operation is a shambles. They refused to suspend our service during the pandemic and forced building closures, even though I know for a fact they did it for some of our partners. They provided us with scheduled collection dates for our site - not once was the original date honoured - and when there is no one available to escort them round the site they invoice you for a full collection even though the fault lies with them. Tried to raise breaches of contract (in an attempt to mutually end our contract early) with our supposed account manager for weeks with limited reply and then silence, only to call customer services and be told that 'they no longer have account managers'. Invoice queries circulate around 4 different departments and on average anything I raise with their financial control team takes around 2-3 months to receive acknowledgement or response. Incredibly, I could go on and on, but my time is worth more. Honest opinion - NEVER USE SHRED IT. They are in-efficient, overpriced, and make no attempt to reduce their carbon footprint. I recommend First Mile Recycling, they are our supplier and I have them lined up to replace Shred-It once our contract expires - big emphasis on sustainability, competitive pricing and from what I have seen through our waste collection service, extremely reliable.

Very poor service...we have hired them for shredding our office paper but the date which was confirmed before sale & at the time of advance payment, they shifted that date without confirming & moved to next day...also next day the committed time slot provided they reached after 3hours delay..their depot is next to my office like 5mins drive & they telling that their truck broke down..very disappointed & would never recommend any professional individual/company to use them..time waste
