Avoid at all costs! I have never left a review on Google - or any other platform - but feel the need to warn people about using this company (Droylsden branch). I’m leaving this review in the hope the director - Simon Sleigh - returns my email regarding the complaint I raised during the sale & purchase of our house. Our complaint was raised due to lack of communication throughout the entire process, which at the time, was raised with Simon Sleigh. Simon decided to call me one evening and I was made to felt like I was in the wrong for raising it - he was incredibly rude and arrogant on the call (his subsequent letter following my complaint was no better). The call was not arranged, but suited him (likely as ‘he has many clients and receives 50 emails per day’ - this is what he actually wrote in his letter to us!) a justification for poor service? I will let you be the judge of that… Some of the people in the office (not all) were incredibly rude and didn’t pass on messages left for our solicitor. The only updates we received throughout were as a result of us sending emails and calling - nobody was proactive and we were made to feel like they were ‘doing us a favour’ by chasing. On the day of our move, we were being asked for keys before we even had confirmation the sale had gone through - I were literally sat in a removal van, with my wife and two young children, with all of our belongings and our fully emptied house waiting for a call (a call which never came, we were told around 3pm via email that we have completed). Simon Sleigh offered to look into this for us. We heard absolutely nothing (I would expect nothing less) until I chased him. I was then told by Simon that he ‘will not embark on a fishing expedition’ when asked for an update on his findings. I have escalated my complaint to be looked into by the ‘partners’, which I am yet to receive a response about. Can you give me an update please Simon? I should have read the other reviews on here before committing - it would appear I’m not the only one! I would strongly suggest you do some research on alternatives before using Sleigh and Son Droylsden… We certainly wish we did!

Unprofessional.No replacement solicitor dealing with the sale completion date when one of their solicitor's is off.Not good at all! Someone at this firm advised my solicitor that there was no one else available until Monday. It was only when I made a fuss that someone then eventually dealt with my solicitor.
