I recently had lunch at Sola, and it was truly a delightful experience. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm and friendly service that set the tone for the entire afternoon. The menu was fusion of Japanese and french cuisine. every dish was crafted with care and attention to detail, showcasing the rich flavors of Japan and culinary expertise of French cuisine. The presentation of the food was elegant and appetising, making every dish a visual treat. One of the highlights of my dining experience was the impeccable service. Diego, Nadine and the sommelier Rene were knowledgeable about the menu and the wine pairing was spot on and generous. They were attentive without being intrusive, making sure that I had everything I needed throughout the meal. The prices were reasonable for a fine dining establishment in Soho, and the overall experience made it value for money.

Amazing food and service! The menu changes seasonly but the food stays inventive and tasteful. Was particularly impressed with the canapés and dessert, elegant presentation! Recommend for special occasions as it could be on the pricey side, but guarantee to go home happy and full!

Sensational food which is potentially to a two Michelin star quality, but the service doesn’t aim to provide the same level of sophistication that they would be required to achieve. Food wise though, it is truly special and each course is carefully considered with flavours which work well with each other. Presentation is exceptionally well thought through and the lava rock set alight to finish the langoustines creates a wonderful flavour. Who would have thought caviar works well with chocolate, but it does. Recommended and will certainly return again next time the seasonal menu changes.

Had the pleasure of dining at Sola in a party of 4 last Wednesday evening. Food worthy of the michelin star, delicious, flavoursome and beautifully presented throughout, accompanied by an excellent choice of wine. Service was perfectly pitched, knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing. Just top notch throughout.

We visited for my birthday lunch and ordered two full tasting menus and one wine pairing to share. I have eaten at started restaurants all over the world over the past 20 years. Unfortunately Sola disappointed overall - and at over £500 for our visit, this was an expensive disappointment. In the pork, my husband had bits of bone / gristle in his dish which he had to pull out of his mouth twice whilst eating. From our next course, my husband pulled out a thick black hair from within his dish. When our replacement plates came out, mine was cold. The menu said duck, but we were served squab pigeon, which I am not a fan of - and duck was one of the reasons we opted for the tasting menu. When ordering the tasting menu over the lunch menu, I would hope to be served some highlights that the lunch menu does not provide. However, the extra courses in the tasting were very average compared to the lunch menu courses. There was no acknowledgment / gesture made to us in response to these issues, despite staff being made aware of them at the time - other restaurants would have been absolutely mortified. I thought I would be courteous and send my feedback directly to management for a response. What I received was brief and casual, and offered me a 50% discount to visit again. Thanks, but no thanks! Do yourself a favour and choose another one of London’s many excellent restaurants who will value your custom, and deliver an incredible experience for you.

Exceptionally good food and service - possibly one of the best meals I've had in London. The restaurant itself is small, bright and calm - which lends itself well to an intimate atmosphere. Service was excellent - attentive, detailed, never overbearing. Our sommelier was fantastic - enthusiastic and highly knowledgeable, with the selected wine pairings both interesting and very well paired. As for the food itself... Wow. Truly delightful! The combination of flavours, textures and presentation was top-drawer, fully worthy of their star.
