  Installed a door in 2019, company now appears to have disappeared although Director/Secretary - Tierney is still current so likely went insolvent to avoid the tax man. No FENSA certificate provided at time of installation and 10 year guarantee worthless also. AVOID anything to do with TIERNEY, clearly a dishonest trader who will take your money and run! *****AVOID THIS COMPANY and proprietor TIERNEY, scammer!! *****

  Do not use any company to do with Pat Tierney. I paid him over £1500 for a door and received nothing. He is a con man!! Avoid at all costs!!

  We would definitely recommend Solid-Core Composite Doors Ltd. Our door was fitted in November 2019 and we were very happy with the price, product & service we received. The door looks fantastic! The mark of a good company is how they react when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, at the beginning of 2021, the door lock broke (locked shut). ... maybe not a massive problem during a global pandemic and lockdown! We called the company and Pat came out to see what could be done. Unfortunately, despite his best efforts the door was unable to be freed or forced open (at least we knew it was very secure!). Despite many companies being closed or furloughed, Pat was able to order the parts that were needed before he and the team came back to literally cut the door from its hinges, so that the faulty lock could be replaced and everything restored to it's full working condition. A huge effort from Solid-Core Composite Doors, Pat and his team to ensure we are still happy customers.

  Been trying to call PAT for over 5 weeks now! We first got our door last year end of November, we COULD NOT FAULT PAT THE SALES MAN!!! We felt very comfortable with him, we felt very comfortable that we went with the right company due to PAT and his friendly salesman tactics. He even managed to get the door delivered and fitted in such a a quick time. Could not believe it only took him and a colleague to fit the door within two hours! However at the time we was charged a days money for two hours work which was fine as we was paying for a service. We was told any issues to call PAT and he will rectify ASAP ! Within less than a year ... the door hinge dropped and making our door very difficult to close. The seal has all come away and now our door wobbles and is extremely loose. I have called PAT for weeks and weeks now and he finally answered from a new number that I used (my sons) I then had to get my husband to call him from another number he only answered because he thought it was a new sale, he then realised it wasn’t and came round instantly but still only fixed half the problem! This has now been another three weeks since! He openly admitted he didn’t use the correct fittings to support our door and this is why it has come loose! He ignores calls and he told me is avoiding people as he has a lot of in happy customers. You no doubt will feel you are getting a good deal with but he is a salesman. Please do your research he has lost his office that was in shotgate industrial estate and now working from home! He has less over heads to pay for and again he does not care about any customer loyalty ! I didn’t want to write this review but PAT has left me no choice as he is avoiding me! This is not acceptable and I now have a front door that is not secure !!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!!!

  Had a door fitted when this company went by another name,problem with the door now but told the 10 year guarantee that I was given is no longer valid as that company no longer trading,not a happy customer.i also apparently I should have been given a Fensa certificate but wasn't .in reply to your response when I phoned you I was told you had to liquidate the company that fitted my door,so to my mind that used to be your company so not a false review.

  We had not just a door but a window fitted by this company too. We were very pleased with the quality of the products and the fitting of them. Their after sales service was also greatly appreciated when my husband locked himself out leaving the key on the inside of the door. They couldn't have been more helpful more than a year after the original sale. Customer service was second to none from the outset and the door and window are looking and functioning as good as the day they were fitted.

  Ordered three doors in July 2019, its now mid November and after being given excuse after excuse i still have no doors and they have now stopped replying to my e-mails and are not answering their phone. I paid them a £1,500 deposit and feeling like i have been ripped off now.
