We had the faux gras and oysters not squid for starters, then the vish and chips and ribs. Everything was absolutely incredible. We both used to eat meat and this was such a good showcase of you can make flavours that are just as good if not better and hit all the good notes those dishes normally hit without using meat. Was such a nostalgia trip for tastes and textures I used to love and haven't had in years, but without the guilt! Absolutely wonderful, I highly recommend it. Lovely drinks selection of spirits and craft beers too.

The food is lovely and the service is great too, however I can't give it a 5 star for two reasons. Firstly, the kitchen is open plan. The extraction is just not adequate, and the restaurant smell was acrid at times. Be prepared that you'll need to wash your coat, jumpers and scarfs to get rid of the kitchen smells. Secondly, it's not dog friendly. Although it's the owners' perogative to refuse dogs, most dogs are better behaved than human patrons. Disobedient dogs are typically left at home and are not brought out. If there is a concern about the open kitchen, then offer to seat dog owners at the front of the restaurant and advertise the fact. The extra business may help fund improved extraction. Hopefully, this constructive feedback helps 🙏
