The church was decorated with many painted murals. It was really well worth a visit. I passed the church many times and never knew how nice it was inside.

A disappointing visit to this church. It is quite impressive from the outside for being in a small country village but it is greatly let down by its inside. The Victorian paintings are quite unsightly and very much out of place in a 12th century church. Combined with the tiled walls and mosaic floor, the church seems tacky and this was definitely a let down. The graveyard is certainly sizeable for such a small village and the peaceful area is a plus.

900 years old and incredibly beautiful inside. Possibly one of the best village churches in the East Riding. There is also a south fencing bench with stunning views so ideal to while away your time.

Absolutely stunning. From the mosaic floor to the painting on the walls all the way up to the wooden painted beams. The condition is in near perfect. What a find that we only stumbled across. Definitely a must see.

This unassuming Norman Church has a true hidden beauty. Set in the Yorkshire Wolds, walking through the door is like taking a trip to an Italian church. From the floor to the very top is beautifully painted. One of the Sir Tatton Sykes churches, his son decided to have the church painted after his farther rebuit the church in a Norman style. Their is plenty of information on the paintings in the church. Worth a visit brown signs will point you in the right direction. Street parking outside the church and a ramp is on hand for disabled visitors. Access to the church is via a few steps and a gravel path
