  Rooms: Das Hostel befindet sich in einem alten Gebäude, was zu sehr verwinkelten Gängen und engeren Räumen führt – was aber kein Problem ist. Schade ist nur, dass die Zimmer nicht den Charme des Pubs unten drunter ausstrahlen, sondern einfach und lustlos eingerichtet sind. Es wird absolut kein Komfort geboten. In meinem Zimmer ließ sich das Fenster nicht schließen, was einerseits zu einer extremer Lautstärke vom Pub (Live-Musik bis 2 Uhr nachts), und andererseits zu einziehendem Zigarettenrauch führt. Über der Tür hing ein grünes Licht, das sich nicht ausschalten ließ, und das Zimmer nachts illuminiert hat – hier guten Schlaf zu finden, ist schwierig. Wirklich sauber war es ebenfalls nicht, an meiner Steckdose klebte ein Kaugummi, und eine Schabe ist auch durchs Bett gekrabbelt. Auch die Bäder waren heruntergekommen und die Duschen teilweise extrem verschimmelt. Bei fast 70 £ hätte ich echt mehr erwartet. Walkability: Die Lage im Borough ist gut, die Underground-Station London Bridge ist nur einen Steinwurf entfernt und die City of London sowie das Südufer kann man auch bequem zu Fuß erreichen. Food & drinks: Das Frühstück ist ebenfalls sehr einfach und langweilig, aber für 5 £ findet man in London wohl einfach nichts Preiswerteres. Dafür sind die Gerichte, die man Nachmittags im Pub bekommt, gut und preislich für Londoner Verhältnisse im Ordnung.

  Room and beds are nice, staff is friendly. They should have warned us about the loud people and the live music from 11pm onwards every night. As I’m writing this review I can hear people screaming and laughing down in the pub as if they were inside our room. Plugs make no difference. Disappointed they didn’t warn us. We would have chosen something different.
