A beautiful church. We used it to sketch and draw with watercolours. Masham art group highly enjoyed the beautiful location and meadow behind to create wonderful creations in sketchbooks. I taught the session and can say everything was great. A lovely place for prayer too. Beautiful walks behind it further over the fields. Friendly people. Wonderful kitchen and also toilets. Ample tables and chairs. Beautiful old church

Listed in the 1000 best churches in England you can see why. Intense detail on the crypts, airy and perfectly placed in Masham itself.

Cath Simpkins's Legit Honest Reviews
Lovely, grand old church which is Norman and medieval, standing in the village of Masham. There is also the remaining pillar of a 9th century Anglo-Saxon sandstone cross just outside the porch. The cross is Grade 2 listed and used to be called the Paulinus Cross. It is decorated with early Christian carvings which are somewhat weathered. The church's spire had to be rebuilt in 1855 after it had been struck by lightning. The tower is Norman, the body of the church 14th century, and the South porch Tudor. The painting, "The Angel In Contemplation" is reputed to be a Joshua Reynolds. There is some fabulous stained glass in this church, including Glenn Carter's Masham Millennium Window.
