Receptionist leaves confidential documents at desk and leaves the desk to go into the office. She doesn't even lock the computer screens. So you can see everything on the screen standing on the side. Waiting times are ridiculous. Had to wait half an hour to be seen and then got told that I have to do the referral by myself online. So why was I given an appointment in the first place, for which I had to wait for two months and drove all the way there and waisted my team for no reason, taking time off work as well. If you can avoid this surgery, you really should.

AVOID IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH. Only 1 star as 0 is not an option. This GP surgery is completely useless, from their receptionists who are rude and lack any empathy, to when I was told it would take them over 5 weeks to simply provide some basic administration - a sick letter to give to my employer, despite the fact the hospital had written this for them and they only needed to stamp it. I initially requested an appointment with a GP from StMarys, the 'Team' at the surgery discussed my case and decided that a Pharmacist was appropriate to offer a telephone appointment. I did not find out that it wasn't a GP that I spoke to until the receptionist informed me two weeks later. During the following two weeks after the Pharmacists phone call, the medication that was prescribed was incorrect and my condition was worsening. I continued to ask the practice for another GP appointment during these two weeks, before eventually giving up and going to an urgent care centre who advised me I needed a referral from my GP to go private, and this needed to be done ASAP. Following the Urgent Care Centres advice, the following morning I presented at StMarys Reception after being number 36 on phone for over half an hour after the lines opened. Only to be told there were no more appointments and to call back tomorrow. Even though there was not a soul in the practise, and I had been told by the urgent care the previous night that I needed a GP's letter as a matter of urgency, in order to be seen privately for a very serious condition, as the wait via NHS would be up to 2 years. The condition that I had had progressed to being infected, and should this have been left, would have been extremely serious. When I stood in front of receptionist and explained the above, she showed no empathy or medical understanding of the severity of the very visible condition I was in. All I was asking for was a doctors referral letter so I could seek the help I needed privately as soon as possible. Upon relaying this information to the receptionist, I got the usual response of 'call back tomorrow morning', a futile and pointless waste of time. Eventually I was lucky enough to source my own private clinic for a dermatologist, who was shocked and appalled at the lack of care the GP had provided. I was also told that I needed to be admitted to hospital immediately where I stayed for a week whilst they treated my condition and infection. Thanks StMarys for your utter negligence! No doubt I would still be waiting for an appointment now. Whether it be a lack of training, funding or just plain incompetance, I would advise anyone considering using this practise to look elsewhere.

Honestly speaking they are completely incompetent, I’ve asked on numerous occasions for them to fix my post code address which took almost 2 years for them to do and when I asked for a copy of a letter which I have previously received but lost they made up some rubbish around needing permission to do so which only went on to cause myself far more problems in the long run. If you need a doctors don’t waste your time on them

If all the GPs went on strike, would anyone notice the difference?

As 0 isn’t an option. Perfectly pleasant people that don’t want to help. They move so slow and nothing seems urgent or important. They forget to make you appointments and make the whole process so much longer than it needs to be. - when you try and make an appointment you have to wait 1hr+ on phone and they’re all gone - 1 month + for pre bookable appointments. - staff is just clearly doesn’t care you have to wait for them to finish their conversation about how their weekend was before they even acknowledge you

Disgusting service for whatever pointless reason you can't book an appointment unless it's the same day which is never because no one answers the phone and you get told to fill out a pointless e consult online which is a joke because they took five days to respond to mine when I was supposed to be next day I've used this surgery for over 30 years and it's never been run this badly

There is no point to share, as clearly St.Marys managers are not reading, not responding..And future patients will understand, why 2,5 stars given, if they will read reviews..Nothings changed so far..
