My husband visited yesterday for Diabetic eye screening after phoning up as he had not received an appointment. He went in and the specialist doing the test was very surprised when he said he had a Cataract as it wasn't on his notes which considering in 2019 he was told he had been referred. We think the specialist in 2019 was more interested in a patient that wouldn't wait than my husband, as he then phoned my husband while we were in the waiting room asking him why he didn't wait and he told him he was waiting ! I have tried continuously to get through to the secretary to find out how long he's going to have to wait and it just rings and rings. I'm disabled so he has to do 90% of the driving and he's at a stage where its getting to be a problem. We are not happy that the specialist failed to refer him and I know Covid took over but this was 7 months before Covid.
