My Mother was admitted the same day all the government COVID restrictions were revoked. Yet the manager has imposed an order of isolation on a paralysed diabetic resident where relatives were not allowed to visit for the first week. I informed the Pharmacist, as there was no Doctor on the ward round that day, and mentioned that there were additional therapy’s namely Linagliptin missing from her medications as well as advising the determined doses for her insulin’s. There were no further ward rounds by a doctor until the following Friday so called the nurse later that evening only to find out my mothers medication’s remain unchanged. She is still being treated for Type 2 diabetes solely with insulin’s at a rate of 160 units per day, without any additional diabetic therapy’s, so has gained excessive weight unnecessarily.

Slightly strange to review a Care Home. My partner has been there for a number of years. I wish she was at home, but she's probably in the best place.

Looked after my friend's mum - so well! The staff were AMAZING, never complained if family came to visit late, allowed us to redecorate the bedroom a bit, bring in extra small furnishings etc, allowed us to decorate gardens for Jubilee and ROyal Wedding and brought all the patients out to have a social - it was a really special place, and I'm sure it still is.

No registered manager since 19APR18 - 5 managers in 1 year! In September 2018 St Vincent's appointed the 5th manager since March 2018. The last CQC-registered manager left in April 2018. Many managers are totally unaccountable due to inappropriate qualifications (not CQC registered, not NMC registered, not HCPC registered). Legal, administrative and admission procedures are of very poor quality. Likewise there have been 4 clinical leads in the last 12 months. This vertiginous staff turnover has led to loss of information, lack of continuity and poor quality care. This is not in the best interests of any of the residents in St Vincent’s, many of whom suffer from dementia. I simply cannot understand such a situation. It is a fact that my mother, a resident, has greatly suffered from these anomalies.

Very dedicated nurses & care staff. Always friendly & helpful. Mum needs & gets 24hr care. ...the only downside (not a complaint), is that they probably need a couple more staff as they often seem to be rushed off their feet.
