I've been training with Stefan for over a year now. I hadn't sung actively in several years and wanted to build up my technique. My main challenge has always been being too quiet. Stefan has helped me open up and let my voice come out, and it's been wonderful. I get to sing songs I love; he's a trained opera singer, but has coached me on different styles like Country & Western and the Disney songbook. I keep improving - despite of having a very busy life so hardly any time to practice. Due to Covid, my training so far has all been on Zoom, and I've been positively surprised how well it works for singing too. Stefan is a kind and supportive coach with a huge training toolkit. I would warmly recommend him for any voice training.

Stefan takes the time to break down each component of how the voice works. He then teaches exercises that let me sing in ways that previously eluded me. There is an emphasis on learning to do this in a stress free fashion so that there is no vocal strain. Though I am a beginning singer in my 70s, I never feel out of place even when participating in one of his workshops with a group of professional singers. Stefan treats all comers with respect and a willingness to help them wherever they are at in their vocal development. I have also found that Stefan is open to an occasional private lesson to target a vocal problem that I am working on. The result is that I am no longer afraid to sing as a soloist or with others in my bluegrass band and in my a cappella trio.

His knowledge of vocal placement and techniques has helped me obtain many different styles of singing.
