I have been a member of the club for a number of years now. I have to say it is great facility with 7 ranges for members to use varying from an indoor air rifle range to 100m sighting in range for full bore shooters. We also have archers here as well. There is a wealth of knowledge in the membership gained over many many years and everyone is approachable and friendly to ask or just chat about our sport of shooting. There is also a club social room to sit and chat after shooting with drinks and snacks available. The club has many opportunities to test your skills as a shooter from bench rest shooting to practical shotgun and from archery to cowboy shooting. If you just want to come down and relax, the club is a welcoming place to be. The club is a great place to learn in a safe and enjoyable environment regardless of whether you are an absolute beginner or a seasoned shooter. Anyone interested in the sport of shooting can also come and see the facilities and meet the members on a Sunday morning by contacting the club administrator.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. Recently moved to the area, I applied for membership as it is 40 miles nearer than my present club, of which I have been a committee member and vice captain for over 10 years.I have been an FAC holder for 20 years. After applying to SRPC they asked me to provide medical information of which I did showing I was not on any antidepressants and no history of depression. They then asked for a detailed doctors report. This I felt was an intrusion on my privacy as if I have "boils on my bum" it is no business of Jo Public who may sit on a committee. My eligibility to hold and shoot firearms had already been confirmed by police when they recently granted renewal of my FAC. Yet SRPC turned my application down point blank with no explanation. When I enquired as to why I was told that committee business cant be discussed as it is "confidential" and that their decision is FINAL.
