Birmingham Design Festival was delighted to make use of The Basement this June for a number of workshops and talks – the space was ideal for this – clean, modern, spacious yet intimate, comfortable and well equipped. We'd definitely recommend it and look forward to using the Basement again!

Every month I use this room to run a "heavy metal church service" for about 50 people (room capacity is easily triple this, if not more) and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else! The facilities are brilliant! Very spacious room, quirky basement type vibe perfect for any occasion whether a youth event, gig, or business conference! Fantastic PA system with floor monitors, state of the art mixing desk, TV monitors, running water/sink, heating. Always clean and tidy. The venue have always been very accomodating and extremely helpful. Car park next to the building, lots of food places nearby and a 10 min walk to the city centre. The Custard Factory is one of the most vibrant, artsy & unique places in the Midlands and the Basement feels like part of the furniture here. 10/10 would recommend for hire; it's such a great spot!
