Unbelievably slow service. Roughly an hour and a half wait between each dish, and to make things worse, the portions were tiny (for insight, the first attached picture is supposedly a “Chicken & Duck Liver Parfait”) and the food wasn’t even close to decent. The place was really cramped and there’s no sense of order in this establishment. Charging £15 for a small glass of rum and Coke? Dreadful.

Food was below average. Terrance area was not well heated. Christmas 3-course set dinner was served 1.5 hrs late and there was a 1hr wait in between each course. To be fair staff was nice and they did compensate us with a bottle of moscato. But overall, still not recommended considering the long wait, price and food quality.

Would not recommend at all. Went for an event at 7pm and starters only came at 9pm. Food portions were very small and didn’t meet expectations. Not worth the money we paid. Ordered apple crumble as dessert and they only served cooked apple with some crumbs? The tables were terribly set up that left no space for people to walk around. My friend had to move her chair every 5 minutes to let people walk through. Time and money wasted.

We booked the place for an event for 200 people. Terribly slow service. Food was meant to come out at 7.30pm but we received mains at 10pm. Terrible customer service. They set up the tables incorrectly and for the wrong number of people. We had to correct it ourselves when we arrived 30 mins before the event. This was despite booking over a month in advance for our event. Now we have members complaining due to the restaurant’s terrible service.

If it could be 0 star, I would. We were led into a false sense of security by the typical Chelsea decor and greetings. Once you've handed over your deposit to hire the venue for the evening, you are treated like a second-class citizen. They are closing this Christmas; I will not be shedding a tear for them after the way my friends and I were treated. They may have had good owners/staff in the past but currently they have no idea how to run a venue. 1. Via email, phone and in person, the staff at The Chelsea Lodge clearly had no experience in dealing with hosting large events, very disorganised and everything done and finalised last minute. 2. Don't expect your deposit back as they took 3 weeks post event to deliver ours. 3. Their minimum spend option was useless with only cocktails and spirits served downstairs (not catering to all guests despite being told so) and asking guests to walk upstairs to another bar to be served lager/cider/wine which did not contribute to the minimum spend. 4. Disorganised on arrival, fingerprint and facial recognition ID scanner broken, staff member taking photos of guests on personal iPhone, surely illegal? 5. Maltreatment of guests by bouncers on arrival, a girl shoved against the wall because she didn't have her ID in her hand when asked. 6. Smoking area enclosed not open, again surely illegal? 7. Guests not allowed entry due to outfit choice, despite the party being Halloween themed.... 8. DJs hired by guests to play at venue inhibited from playing birthday guests playlist as music genre contained Afrobeat style of music and was not in keeping with style of venue. 9. You will not receive a private space downstairs for the entire evening despite being told so initially. Members of the public are allowed downstairs to your private area. 10. Consistent alteration of closing time by venue organisers, told everyone must leave by 3pm, to be kicked out at 2.10pm.

Whilst the decor of the venue may lure you into a false sense of "I'm in Chelsea, on the Kings Road, it's safe and lovely", the staff are utterly appalling, the bouncers manhandle you at every opportunity as if they're a bunch of mafioso. Management renege on agreements at every avenue available to them. I would swiftly avoid this place and if you have paid a deposit to hire the venue, get in contact immediately, they're closing and you'll likely not see your money back! I won't shed a tear for this place closing, its been run into the ground by a bunch of vile scam artists.
