I had a consultation with Shirley at the Institute of Tricology. She did a thorough examination and advised that I had central centrifugal cicatricial alopecia (CCCA). She gave advice on what to avoid on my scalp and how to treat it. She sent me background research on the condition. Shirley advised me about tests to take with my gp and what supplements were good for me. By avoiding oils on my scalp the tenderness and itch disappeared overnight. My hair has thrived.
