My family has used Mr Barkatali’s services on two occasions, both privately and via the NHS and on both occasions, his care was absolutely outstanding. My elderly mother received excellent care and treatment, for her hip but it soon became apparent that she also had a problem with her spine. Both Mr Barkatali and his secretary Michelle, went to extra-ordinary lengths to get her seen quickly by a spinal consultant. To have such caring actions at a time when we were going through an extremely stressful time, was just amazing and we cannot thank them enough for this. So when my husband was really struggling with his knee, for us there was only one choice - Mr Barkatali. And again we were not disappointed. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Barkatali and his team. As a consultant he inspired within me an immediate sense of confidence, clearly explaining the nature of my medical problem and my treatment options. I required a high tibia osteotomy to correct deformation which originated due to childhood rickets. It was made plain to me that this would be a very painful procedure and I might need mental health support as well as physiotherapy to aid recovery. The operations to correct my leg, rotation of tibia followed by removal of metal plate upon bone healing, were a success. While the treatment plan was at times difficult and painful, a year and a half later I have the ability to stand and bear my bodyweight through my leg and walk. Each day I can usually do a little more and I am beginning to get out and about and regain some of my previous active life. My new lease of life is down to Dr Barkatali and supporting medical staff and services. I am pleased I made the decision to place my health in Dr Barkatali's capable and professional hands.
