We have just returned from a lovely stay at Little Abode. Friendly, welcoming hosts and a delightful, comfortable room set in beautiful gardens. Delicious food...breakfasts delivered to the room, pizzas for supper on the first night, fresh coffee and tea with cookies in the room..all made the stay very special. I highly recommend.

We stayed for four nights in September and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. The garden and outdoor seating area is idyllic. The first night we enjoyed home cooked pizzas, and breakfast delivered to your door each day was great. Marton was an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area and you won't run out of things to see. A couple of points to note, we had no mobile phone reception in the room but if you are happy with internet calls that won't be a problem. The other minor issue for us was that being tall, we weren't able to stand under the shower. We knew it was listed as a shower head for rinsing hair on the website but in practice it was a bit footery. Neither issue would stop us staying again though. Sara and Tom were friendly and welcoming and were taking all precautions to make guests feel safe during COVID. They also provided comprehensive info on local walks and restaurants which was very useful.

Sara & Tom have worked hard to assure high standards of public health compliance in challenging times without burdening guests. Well placed for exploring moors, coastline, dales and countryside full of historic buildings, close to characterful towns with good shopping facilities and places to eat, this offers a lovely escape from the pressures of everyday living, in an area of great natural beauty.

I stayed here in September 2020 with my husband for a country break. It was perfect. The room was really lovely and comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting out on the patio and looking at the lovely garden. We couldn't believe how private or quite it was - just the sound of the wind in the trees. Sara provides everything you need - so we had a little fire on the first evening which was fab. Sara and Tom are very accommodating but not intrusive. The food was lovely (we also have their homemade pizzas). We walked to a local pub one evening and visited the Star Inn on the second evening. Its a great location.
