Many pass the doorway and miss out on this gem. Honouring the servicemen it's full of history. Flags worn out by war line the roof. The altar area is stunning array of gold

A moving building by virtue of its tragic 20th century history. Rebuilt by modernist 1960s architects, it is harshly lit and box-like. But the regimental flags and memorials to the fallen are impressive and important and the apse is very special indeed.

I'm biased as I served in the Household Cavalry but the Chapel is a fabulous building for everyone to visit. It is full of history, and reverence, and I was able to light a candle for the late Queen and members of my own family. There is also a Guards museum adjacent.
