Toby is an excellent guitar teacher. My son, who is currently in Year 6, has been going for weekly sessions for almost 3 months now and he loves them. He always comes out beaming and full of excitement for what he's just learnt and he can't wait to practice. He plays acoustic guitar but has been given the opportunity to play on Toby's electric guitar for a part of each lesson and that has really increased the enjoyment factor! Toby offers different styles of music at the beginning, so you can choose what you want to concentrate on, e.g. rock, classical, country etc and he is very nurturing, enthusiastic and empathic in his teaching. Booking the lessons is easy via his website or app and he offers weekdays, evenings and weekends to suit your needs. You are given a discount for booking batches of 5 or 10 lessons and you can just book them as you go along. You can do each lesson face to face or via Zoom and the pupil is given access to a Google Drive of backing tracks, which they can use to practice along to at home. He always responds quickly on text or email if you have any questions. I would not hesitate to recommend Toby to anyone wanting to improve their skills and/ or repertoire.

I've been learning Guitar with Toby for the last 5 months and I'm really pleased I chose him to be my teacher. He's got a great teaching style and I've made lots of progress since beginning my lessons. All the sheet music and backing tracks that Toby creates are really helpful for practising and he tailors your lessons to suit your music interests. I'm able to book (and pay for) all my lessons via a mobile app and my lessons over Zoom work really well. Highly recommend!
