I asked for Jim, and along with Paddy thier woman colleague (sorry for name forgetting) I walked out 3k poorer, a grin on my face and wardrobe done ✔️ Opinions were shared, strong advice, gr8 fit up for my onbetween sized body with Covid pudge (or that'sthe excuse I use). Trotters is now my UK clothier.

When I went in I had a vague idea of what I wanted but having never had a bespoke suit before I was unsure of the process. At first the customer service seemed a tad chilled but as we got into it I warmed up to Jim and together we got my wedding suit put together. I am overjoyed at the resulting piece and look forward to maintaining this suit for many years to come. If you want something really nice, that fits properly, then give these guys a go. I doubt you'll regret the final product.

Mirroring the other reviews on terrible customer service, appalling. I was shopping for one of my clients and the shop assistants barely uttered two words the whole time I looked around even when I asked for assistance the assistant was abrupt and unhelpful. My company has a large budget for suits you would think in this climate they would at least attempt to sell something.

A good and a bad experience. Trotter and Deane are a well renowned men's clothing shop and tailor within Suffolk. This is represented well in the quality of their clothing and the products they sell, but unfortunately that level of quality does not emanate through to the service you receive from some of the team. I had a 3 piece suit made for my wedding recently and sadly I walked away from the shop, suit in hand at the end of it having not enjoyed the experience. Something I will deeply regret, because it is the first fully tailored suit I have had made and for the occasion of my wedding. What I can say, is hats off to Jim. There was issues with my suit and he more than anything wanted to get them sorted and make sure I walked away happy. He came to me with solutions and options as well as assuring me we would find someway to sort the small issue I had. Whereas John only wanted to tell me 'it is impossible', dismissive, blunt and not in line with the level of product you are supposed to be buying. Had I of dealt with Jim from the start I would have enjoyed the whole thing. But Mr Deane himself is sadly just not a customer orientated person. I didn't feel that welcome, more of a nuisance to be honest. I know they are busy, I just would have really liked to relish the whole experience and to have walked away feeling a million bucks. I wouldn't want to tell anyone not to go to T&D, but if you do, ask for Jim. You will get a great suit and good customer service. Just make sure you are very specific about certain details of what you like. But if you get John, you wont have much fun and will likely resent giving him your money. If I could go back, I might have bitten the bullet and gone to Savile row. Plenty of tailors here start at £1200 for 3 piece and will treat you like royalty. Lesson learnt.

Can’t be happier, Victoria was a wonderful to deal with and super understanding. I was let down by another custom tailor that made two pairs of chinos for a wedding. They did not fit at all so the day before my friends big day I had to find a replacement. Victoria had a pair adjusted for me in hours and even offered for me to come in the next day and help me with the rest of my outfit the morning of the wedding. Fabulous! Thanks so much.
