Trowers & Hamlins have been acting on behalf of the leaseholder, Riverside, in a recent on-going property purchase that required a Deed of Variation to correct a minor fault in the lease. T&H have been slow to progress this purchase and slow to respond to requests for updates from Riverside and the other solicitors involved. The three drafts of the document produced so far showed a lack of attention to detail. As a result, nine months later, this purchase is still nowhere near exchange and completion, which has been extremely frustrating for all parties involved but also resulted in the buyers having to apply for a new mortgage, much to their disadvantage. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this firm, despite the other positive reviews (and even though I am aware of the systemic issues with conveyancing).
