Cate is a superb teacher. She is obviously a subject matter expert in the core subjects she teaches but she is also very calm, is clear in her instruction, empathetic and patient. She doesn’t judge and my daughter has felt very comfortable and at ease during all her “ virtual” sessions. Cate will also adapt the content and pace of each session according to the need and ability of the individual student and this can vary week to week or month to month. Whatever works best for the individual. More recently, Cate focused on verbal reasoning papers since my daughter was taking a 16+ entrance exam and had not had much exposure to verbal reasoning at all. The tutor sessions with Cate undoubtedly contributed to my daughter being offered a place at the school of her choice!
