This lovely South Korean couple, Peter and his wife, are brilliant. I phoned asking if he could take a look at my violin which had developed a buzzing at low frequencies, dropped my violin off that evening and the next day Peter texted with pictures confirming that the top and bottom plates had just started to come away in a couple of places. Not surprising given the age of the instrument. Three days later I picked up my violin again and it was perfectly repaired. Their rates are extremely reasonable, considerably less than you might pay at a high street shop. Thank you very much, Peter!

This charming Chinese duo glued a nasty crack in my cello's front table, found another crack and fixed that, found an open seam and fixed that, then cut a new soundpost to replace the one that had (news to me!) split and fixed it in the right place, all for a very low price for such skilled work. Result: a cello with much more power and a superb sound, and a very happy cellist! Highly recommended. (PS It's a private house rather than a shop/workshop - until you get inside!)
