We approached West Pier Studio to ask if they could develop some new technology for use in our Channel 4 show George Clarke’s Old House New Home. We wanted to use augmented and virtual reality to help homeowners make crucial decisions when renovating their home. West Pier were incredibly professional, and beyond helpful, hitting some very demanding deadlines on our part. The resulting technology was far more than we could have hoped for, and it really did help people to see what would and wouldn’t work for them in their homes. We were able to show different interior layouts and colour schemes in what were building sites at the time, as well as the effect achieved by fitting a variety of skylight options into various spaces. It was a pleasure working with West Pier Studio and we really hope we get a chance to work with them again in the future.

We worked with West Pier for over 3 years on a project to bring a web-based outdoor designer, specifically decks, to fruition. The project was one of extreme complexity and required significant knowledge of how to marry construction, structural analysis, bills of material, take-offs, structural hardware, building codes, fasteners all while making the UI incredibly intuitive to all our constituents; homeowner, lumber dealer, distributors and specifiers (engineers). West Pier bent over backwards to not only meet all these needs but did so in a timely manner with complete integrity. Using cutting edge technology, they not only took our SOW and vision as we saw it, they expanded on it by offering insight, ideas and creative inspiration which made the program a class-leading tool, far beyond what we could have imagined.
