If you are looking for a place to live in Birmingham City Centre, please read this before making a decision! I have lived in Westside Two (next to Westside One) for 1.5 years. From my experience, everything else here could be rated from great and above except the quietness. Both Westside buildings are next to Suffolk Street Queensway, a wide and huge road that is not very common in the UK. Apart from common vehicles, there are super cars, motorcycles and emergency vehicles 24/7 rushing on this road. Even if the windows are towards the back side, I believe there could still be some issues with the super low engine noises or the hyper loud emergency sirens. Unfortunately, my windows are towards and next to Suffolk Street Queensway. I have tried many methods in the previous months, including improving the sound proofing of the windows or playing some calm music. Because of the noises, my mental health and hearing have gotten some 'good' (I mean bad) news. Finally I have decided to make a move, to end this nightmare. This place is not for you if you appreciate quietness. Think twice, otherwise it could be one of the worst living experiences of your life.
