    Coving received was of reasonable quality, though expensive, and postage was also expensive. Some used but for one part of the order decided to use an alternative. As it took a few months to decide, I appreciate that I was outside the refund window, however when I asked whether a partial refund could be considered, and even for return postage to be paid so that they could sell the item again to save it going to waste, they said nothing could be done. As this is not a climate friendly attitude (the coving is quite specific so will be unlikely to find a new home for it), I think a one star to reflect this is reasonable.

    We found a wonderful selection of fires and fireplaces on show at William Boyle, and we were left spoilt for choice. Everywhere else we had been didn't seem to have what we were looking for. We ended up with a traditional gas fire, surrounding fireplace and hearth, along with some cast iron radiators, ceiling roses and even a cornice remake to match a damaged section we had in one room.  Absolutely delighted with everything we bought and the service we received, Collette was knowledgeable and fab helping us make all the right choices. Thank you.

    Fantastic service here. Down to earth, good practical advice, no pressure. Very efficient and great communication throughout. Really looked out for me (when some tiles came back a slightly different colour than expected - as can happen, with fired tiles - Collette flagged this up and checked exactly how I wanted to proceed, really kind). The contractors they work with for chimney work and stove fitting were also great: efficient, great communication (Kate) and super kind - went above and beyond to try and preserve some old tiles that had sentimental value. Very positive experience, and a beautiful new fireplace.

    We were tempted to use an online stove seller but I doubt we would have ended up with a suitable product. We were recommended William Boyle by our stove fitter and we were dead impressed - namely we ended up with a stove that fits the room/is efficient/easy to use but also it was a nice showroom to see the stoves in use and it was easy to purchase - the next thing we know its fitted.     Skirting Covers I am partway through redecorating a cold bedroom with skirting covers. These look very good as they are, can be painted over and already serve to keep out a draught at floor level. Very pleased
