This little housing association could improve the poor feedback on here and in its resident surveys, simply by listening properly to the tenants and leaseholders who pay their wages. WPH's team is small enough to learn how to undertake coproduction with tenants, rather than imitating the weird, controlling behaviour, attitudes and language of larger landlords. Renting from the organisation could return to being a great opportunity for women working in London. For this to happen, we need to dismantle a clunky top heavy hierarchy with a ludicrously high percentage of "managers." Tenants pay for the organisation but have no independent authority over how it is run, so it's irritating to read the faux feminist consciousness trumpeted in its self-marketing. My flat is pretty nice; it's such a pity we still have too many old-school staff with such a demeaning attitude to women and to renters.
