Excellent surgery. Staff very supportive and helpful. Considering the challenges faced by the NHS, they have always managed to get us chdcked over when we have needed it. Also the care when I had covid was much appreciated

I'm afraid they're helpless. Not aware of covid proceedings, asking me to "wing" my illness, (asking to keep doing lfd tests when I'm struggling to breathe, then advising to do a PCR, although they're not free anymore -i have asthma too) very dismissive due to my anxiety diagnosis and I've been spoken to with disbelief and rudeness in the past, unable to get my documents and diagnoses from my home country, you can hardly ever find an appointment. Sure there are good intentions and kind people but there's not much they can do. Seems like they're just trying to get rid of you as quickly as they can and you're left suffering alone at home just because they're helpless, understaffed and not properly trained.

Literally googled my symptoms. Not good. I expect better from my doctor, I could have asked my son to Google my symptoms.

I've been at this practice now since 2006 and they're brilliant. I've had all my children with the community midwife and those children are now patients here too. Most of the time I am able to see/speak to our registered GP, sometimes I have the option to see another Dr quicker than our own but I've never needed a GP and not been able to see one. Reception staff are helpful and I'm able to book appointments and request repeat prescriptions online which helps too. I can also access other services and self refer.

I decided to leave this review due to negative experience that I had with this place, hopefully this will encourage them to do better. I was first registered at this clinic while I was student at York. After two years when I needed them they said to me I was registered temporary and so I could not get full benefits?!! ITS ONLY NOW THAT I FIGURED OUT - MY RECORDS WHERE NOT UPDATED AND NOW I CANNOT GET VACCINE, i have to wait and have to register at another clinic. They called me and said that they need to register me again - I sent my passport, and guess what they still did not do it. Number 2. Im not sure to whom I spoke via phone, I always treat people with respect but the nurse was rude, and when I said which appointment time is best to me she started lecturing me about my availability and question why I can go to work but can't come to the clinic ? Really? Have a nice day. I hope something will change.

I've only ever had exceptional service here. All GPs and nurses I have seen have great and the receptionist is always helpful. Always able to get an appointment in good time, and they were excellent throughout my pregnancy and with my newborn.

Registered through website six months ago. Started getting patient update emails so assumed I was in. Phoned yesterday to get an appointment only to be told they could not see me on their system. Suggested that I register again on website, which I did. Also said that they would investigate and phone me back - a day and a half later no-one has. Meanwhile I continue to suffer a very painfull attack of gout in my knee. Decided that I am better off treating this myself...... I think I will look elsewhere. However it seems all the GP practices in York are pretty hopeless.
