As someone who’d like to pursue acting as a future career I’ve always felt lost on how to achieve this. Other people in my drama class at school had been attending other classes for years and competing with them to get into drama colleges has been really tough. I felt they were so much more skilled than me and had a better chance of getting into the industry. Ever since I’ve joined yps I’ve learnt so many new skills and the passion Alex (our teacher) has for me and the class is incredible. He sees so much potential in all of us and tries to get the best out of us every lesson. Mollie is a great assistant who is always so fun and bubbly. Most of our lesson Lilly is watching from the sides but she’s such an incredible organiser of all of this, we did have her for one lesson when Alex couldn’t make it and she was such a good teacher and it definitely didn’t feel like a lesson wasted. I’ve even started applying techniques I’ve learnt here to work I’ve done in school and auditions for colleges. The class is really supportive of each other and it’s just such a positive environment to be in, I 100% recommend people to join. Thank you 🏼

This club is the highlight of my week, the talented, highly trained workshops, the friendly, encouraging teachers, and the supportive environment makes it the best drama class I’ve ever been to (and I’ve been to a lot) during my three years at YPS, I’ve experienced lots of amazing variety, from clowning to stage combat, combined with the professional yet friendly approach and the comfortable environment, it makes an overall incredible school! I would 100% recommend to any child interested in both fun and professional acting classes.

I was scared to join because I didn’t know anyone but everyone made me feel welcome and I look forward to classes every week. I’ve learnt so many skills and I’ve become more confident in myself. I’ve used lots of things I’ve learnt in lessons out of lessons in day to day life and in other drama classes like my school drama. I would definitely recommend for those looking for classes or wanting to join the industry as we’ve met lots of the industry and done classes with them. I discovered the classes through school when lily came in and I will be forever grateful.
